Audit Manager – NFP / Charities

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a Top30 Accountancy Practice in London City who are looking to strengthen their senior team and recruit two Audit Manager’s to work in either their Non For Profit (NFP) or Financial Services divisions.  Working closely with 10 specialist charity/NFP or Financial Services/Insurance Partners, you will be managing a specific portfolio made up of large high profile clients in your chosen sector.  Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the overall service delivery to clients including attending and leading client meetings
  • Providing general business advice to clients
  • Dealing with special projects including internal audit projects
  • Tendering for new charity/not-for-profit or Financial Services clients (depending on your sector specialism)
  • Supervision, mentoring and management of audit staff including internal training
  • Reviewing Audit work prepared by junior staff, ensuring files have been completed in accordance with internal guidelines
  • Ensuring partners review and sign off Audit planning papers, to ensure fieldwork of the audit can start in a timely manner
  • Responsible for day-to-day staffing and technical matters and resolving any problems which may arise
  • Ensuring junior team members are aware of significant risks in order that they complete the audit to a satisfactory level
  • Suggesting ideas and concepts for increased marketing opportunities with existing and/or new clients

To be considered for either of the Audit Manager roles you should be a degree-educated and fully qualified ACA/ACCA Audit Manager from another Top- to Mid-tier Accountancy Firm with strong portfolio management skills and staff supervisory skills.  You should have strong personal and technical audit skills to service a large portfolio of clients efficiently and effectively, be able to produce high quality business reports for senior management and be able to prioritise work and work to strict customer deadlines.
